Chief Medical Officer
Meet Dr. John Weddle, physician-owner and emergency medicine physician at Fort Smith ER & Hospital. After graduating from Sallisaw High School in 1985, Dr. Weddle attended OSU in Stillwater and then completed his medical training at OSU-COM in Tulsa in 1994. He then completed his residency in emergency medicine, finishing in 1998 and returning home to Sequoyah County.
Dr. Weddle has worked in many local and regional hospitals in the area, with many interests outside medicine, including ranching, cycling, fishing, and spending time with his daughters. He is also the SCEMS medical director.
He and his wife, Bobbie, have made their home and raised their family in the community, and they look forward to being able to care for friends and family here at Fort Smith ER and Hospital for many years to come.
