August 9, 2023 (Fort Smith, Arkansas) – Fort Smith ER & Hospital hosted its first annual End of Summer Mixer on August 5 to celebrate the community by giving back to families as summer comes to an end and they prepare for back-to-school season.

The inaugural event brought about 300 members in the Fort Smith community to the premier hospital facility for family-friendly fun, including free snow cones, hundreds of backpacks filled with school supplies, about $400 in giveaways and gift cards to the local businesses. Also, the Fort Smith ER & Hospital staff presented the community with ways to prepare for the fall season with health and safety tips.
