Emergency Physician
Meet Dr. Jeremy Sturgell, physician-owner and emergency medicine physician at Fort Smith ER & Hospital. He received his undergraduate degrees in Biology and Chemistry at Missouri Southern State University. He then received his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine.
Next, Dr. Sturgell completed an emergency medicine residency at the University of Illinois. In his tenure, he has gained extensive experience, being an emergency department medical director for 15 years, an EMS medical director, a hospice medical director, and a stroke program medical director. He has been recognized twice as “Healthcare Provider of the Year” in his home county of Southwest Missouri. Dr. Sturgell is an active fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Emergency Physicians.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids as well as watching sports.
