FORT SMITH, Ark. (Sept. 16, 2026) – Fort Smith ER & Hospital recently hosted its annual Education Elevation events in partnership with Carl Albert State College, providing hundreds of educators across LeFlore and Sequoyah counties with free school supplies for the 2026-27 school year while celebrating their contributions to local students and schools.
In collaboration with Carl Albert State College, Fort Smith ER & Hospital welcomed educators from across the region to stock their classrooms with essential supplies before the start of the school year. Local businesses also participated as vendors, showcasing their products and services while supporting the initiative through donations of classroom supplies.
This year’s Education Elevation events served hundreds educators across two weekends. The events were held at Carl Albert State College’s Poteau campus for LeFlore County educators and at the college’s Sallisaw campus for Sequoyah County educators.
“Education Elevation brings together businesses and leaders to provide much-needed supplies for educators in our local schools,” said Crystal Restine, Chief Nursing Officer at Fort Smith ER & Hospital. “The joy and appreciation we see from educators each year make this event incredibly rewarding. We are so proud to have community partners that believe in this annual event and its continued success for years to come.”
